In line with our Mission to support the Penang Botanic Gardens, the Friends of the Penang Botanic Gardens Society is announcing the setting up of a Grant called the FOPBGS RIE Awards to encourage Research, Innovation and Education-based field work, in the Penang Botanic Gardens.
The objectives of the grant are to encourage Research, Education and
Innovation to be carried out in the Penang Botanic Gardens to increase local
knowledge gained in the field, to empower the younger generation to get
involved and contribute to the community and allow them an opportunity to
enhance and demonstrate their skills.
Application for the FOPBGS RIE Awards is open to all residents of the
State of Penang, who are involved in tertiary or college education as well as
members of the Public, who have proven expertise in specific areas related to local
Flora and Fauna in the Conservation of the Environment.
*Note : All the grants are for Research, Innovation and Education work done in
the Penang Botanic Gardens boundary proper. Preference will be given to work
“done in the field.”
*Note: All submissions must be in either Bahasa Malaysia or English.
*Note: The closing date for
applications is March 15th 2018
